Package: £competitive + £3k training/development budget + benefits

The Richmond Group was founded in 1999 around a kitchen table by self-made serial entrepreneur, James, with £100 and a simple goal: to stop working in dead end jobs and do something meaningful. Today our assets are over £1bn, we’ve served over half a million customers and won awards for our growth, product and have been listed as a Sunday Times best company to work for since 2008.

We build and fund start-ups that disrupt markets where technology has so far failed to reduce the costs and improve the lives of ordinary people.

We build companies out of People, Products and Money. You’ll be the quality control for our People. We work hard to protect our culture and you’ll ensure our recruitment only allows the best make it onto our teams. Equally, we know no recruitment process is foolproof and we don’t shy away from difficult conversations. If someone is not adding value or doesn’t have the right attitude we make that call early. In order to have a high performing team culture you will hold managers to account for their people decisions. By having high standards we will continue to excel and out-perform our competitors.

What we’ll ask you to do:

  • Live and breathe our values and only accept the best (there’s no place for mediocrity on our teams).
  • Make us incredible at hiring and retaining only people who give our companies a serious competitive advantage.
  • Proactively seek out and remove people who do not meet our high standards for performance or attitude.
  • Be able to get sh't done from a recruitment sprint to special projects
  • Make sure all the normal HR paperwork is taken care of.
  • Care more about our people than anyone else in the business.
  • Constantly think of innovative ways to reward and incentivise teams to be the best they can be.
  • Organise team building and group social events.

We think you’ll need:

  • To feel personally cheated and the pain of people who do not meet your high standards for performance or attitude.
  • To expect a lot from the people and be confident you can find people who will keep upping the bar.
  • To understand that having amazing people gives us a huge competitive advantage.
  • To have the desire to create the best team in the world.
  • To be a self-starter who is naturally proactive.
  • An openness to feedback and a constant drive to improve.
  • No specific prior experience in recruitment is required but you’ll need to be able to demonstrate that you’ve delivered when the chips are down and you can overcome obstacles.

What we offer in return:

  • An awesome team (company culture is VERY important to us!)
  • £3k training budget: this money is set aside for your development, spend it on something that will help you be better.
  • Free breakfasts and £1 lunches from our amazing cafe.
  • Free Gym Membership
  • £100 monthly fitness allowance
  • Contributory Pension
  • Health insurance
  • Unlimited holiday: we pay for your results, not your hours.
